1. What are the requirements for applying for an ED visa?
Students of all ages between 15 and 90 are qualified to study at a legally registered educational institution in Thailand. Students below 15 years old can take our classes, but we are not able to obtain the ED Visa.
2. How long does it take to apply for an ED visa?
The process usually takes 45–60 days, but the duration may vary depending on the applicant’s nationality and the processing speed of the Thai immigration office.
3. How long can I stay in Thailand with an ED visa?
Initially, you can stay for 90 days, and you can extend it every 90 days for up to one year.
4. Can I work in Thailand with an ED visa?
No, you can not. The ED visa is strictly for educational purposes.
If you want to work, you must switch to a Non-B (Work) visa.
5. Do I need to visit Thailand to apply for an ED visa?
The initial application must be made at a Thai embassy or consulate outside Thailand. After that, extensions can be done at the Thai Immigration Office.
6. How do I extend my ED visa?
You must renew your visa every 90 days at the immigration office. Proof of study,
such as at least 80% attendance, is required for the extension.
7. Is there an interview for the visa extension?
In some cases, an interview may be required. Immigration officers may ask about your study purpose, your ability to read Thai script, and basic English conversation skills.
8. Can I travel within Thailand with an ED visa?
Yes, you can. However, if you plan to leave Thailand, you must obtain a Re-entry Permit to keep your visa valid.
9. What happens if my visa expires?
If you do not extend your visa before it expires, you will be considered an overstayer, and a fine of 500 THB per day (up to a maximum of 20,000 THB) will be imposed.

✅Passport: Valid for at east 6 months.
✅Photo: Passport-sized (3.5cm × 4.5cm), taken within the last 6 months.

✅Bank Statement: Proof of funds (minimum $1,000).
11. What documents are required for a Thai ED visa extension?
School/Academy:
✅School Enrollment Certificate: Issued by the educational institution.
✅Attendance Record: Must meet the minimum attendance requirement (usually 80% or higher).
✅Ministry of Education Approval Letter
✅Tuition Fee Receipt: Proof of payment for the course.
Student:
✅Passport: Valid for at least 6 months.
✅TM.7 Form: Completed visa extension application form.
✅Copies of TM30 and TM47.
✅Copies of Passport and arrival stamp.
✅Photo: Passport-sized (3.5cm × 4.5cm), taken within the last 6 months.
